Our Speaker
Shawn A. Goldfaden, Esquire is Maryland State Counsel for Stewart Title Guaranty Company and Division Manager for Asset Preservation, Inc. where he previously served as Claims Counsel in the Baltimore, Maryland office. Prior to returning to Stewart, he served as Executive Vice-President and Senior Counsel for SteeleSoft, Inc. Mr. Goldfaden has extensive knowledge and experience in commercial and residential real estate transactions. Mr. Goldfaden also has numerous years experience in personal, commercial and real estate litigation and probate matters. Prior to joining Stewart, Mr. Goldfaden was an Associate Attorney at the Law Firm of Morris & Schneider, P.C. in Atlanta where he concentrated in real estate transactional matters. He has an excellent working knowledge of the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) and national title insurance underwriting issues. Mr. Goldfaden is also a certified civil litigation mediator.

Mr. Goldfaden is admitted to practice law in Maryland, Georgia and the U.S. District Courts for Maryland and Georgia. He is past co-Chair of the Pro Bono Committee of the Young Lawyers Section of the Maryland State Bar Association.

Mr. Goldfaden received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Baltimore, and a law degree from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Goldfaden is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Georgia Bar Association, and the Real Property, Commercial Law and Estates and Trusts Sections of the Maryland State Bar Association.
